I have searched and read most of the threads hear. For those who have the holley pro-jection and have it on the oddfire v6 what one did you use? I'm looking at the older version analog the holley projection #50211. I've talked to holley tech. and was told it would not work and they have not had one for a v6? I know I will have to change fuel lines return and allready have offy square bore intake. thanks Brian

Sorry, I don’t have an answer for you instead of a question, but does Holley make a Projection kit with a throttle body smaller than 670 cfm? Because that seems a bit big for a V-6.

In terms of CFM, throttle bodies venturies are typically much larger than a corresponding carburetor venturies would be. The throttle body only needs enough engine vacuum so that it can read the value for the computer. The carburetor actually does work with the vacuum, so the amount of vacuum it needs must be much higher.

I'd guess that 670 CFM is not outrageous for EFI on a 225.

I'd also guess that the problem with the Holley EFI on an odd-fire 225 would be the way it handles the tach signal. The odd-fire tach signal comes out at uneven intervals wrt the crank rotation.

You could approach this in a couple of ways. First, you could handle it in software, and force the EFI to average every few triggers into a trigger signal that corresponds to the crank speed and postion. Or, you could put a slotted wheel on the crank pulley and trigger a VR signal at a constant rate wrt the crank speed.

Pretty sure we have members that have EFI'd the OF 225 with the Megasquirt board. I recall there are examples of OF 225s on the Megasquirt discussion forum too.

The first pro-jection "brain" boxes are mostly junk leaving you with a really cool looking useless $1000 throttle body. Go ahead and ask me how I know.:(
