74 Power steering question

I dropped a 86 305 sbc into my rig and am now getting to adapting my power steering setup.
I have a new stock ps box and the stock chevy ps pump. The box seems to use flare fittings where as the chevy pump has the oring type on the pressure side and a straight barb hose clamp side on the return. My question is, what of the two female ports on the 74 box is the pressure side? The driver side female port is the smaller of the two. Trying to go tomorrow to have conversion hoses made. Thanks for your help in advance!
