How to get steering shaft out of steering box

    Im new to working on CJs, trying to do it myself without asking dad or uncle's help(pride). I have column off dash, dash out, 1 bolt left in steering box, and im taking shaft out of box...looks like u need a puller?

    don't know what it is you're trying to accomplish here ???
    to remove the box, unbolt the bolt and clamp on the bell coupler.
    using a puller, pull the pitman arm off.
    unbolt the box, slide the box shaft off and out the bell coupler, carefully.
    If you're just trying to remove the intermediate shaft with the u-joint, just unbolt the clamp and bolt at the bell, unbolt the box, and seperate at the coupler; no need to drop the pitman arm.

    the input and outout shafts of the box are internal, and you would have to disassemble the whole box to replace those shafts.
