Stripped oil pan bolt

I was torquing the last bolt on the oil pan after replacing the rear main seal and one of the bolt holes in the timing belt cover (up front behind the fan) is stripped. What is the best way to fix this? Should I drop the pan again and Heli-coil it? I'd like to leave it alone as long as it doesn't leak and repair it next time the pan is off, any harm in this?

    Thanks

    Timing belt?
You could try tapping it the next size up.

    nickmil In mothballs.

Should be able to Heli-coil it with the pan in place if you have access.

Retap to next size, or SOMETIMES I get lucky and can run a metric tap in it's orginal hole and make some threads.
That'll work, but it's anouying as all get out to have 1 metric bolt.
