Anybody in Chandler AZ that has done a saginaw steering conversion for 60's cj5?

    Yeah, I just finished. Used herms tierod set up but the ford counterclockwise box wouldent fit between the motor mount and crossmember, this is on a 4 cyl. No problem fitting if u have the v6. I ended up using a cj5 box from a 75' or so & mounted ahead of the crossmember. No lift on mine so I cut a hole thru crossmember for shaft. Herm makes real nice stuff and he's pretty helpful with questions. Depending on what u have, I have a ford manual box I can't use, couple power boxes in classifieds.herm also has these boxes.
