Ok my first question regarding my 64 CJ5:

Radiator has no overflow bottle. I have purchased 5/16 hose to run from top if radiator but where does the bottle go and also where do I find one?

I have run the hose down the right hand side down to the top of the frame and assume the bottle goes somewhere on the firewall on the top right hand side.

I am pretty good at studing pics so if someone could take a quick snapshop of theirs and send it, I would appreciate it.

    Many thanks.

Ok well that explains why I could not find an original bottle.
Well I guess a person could get creative with this.

I will "rig" something together soon.

    Thanks for the pics!

So Patrick-- You said it appears that 32-34oz bottle is not big enough. What did you finally settle with?

Same 1 qt. bottle. It's just big enough. About an inch below the overflow when hot, and just at the bottom when cold.

I found a generic plastic overflow bottle at my local parts store (Car Quest). It came with some hose and brackets.

The Willys has one of the aftermarket jobs from A'Zone.

The one in my old GMC pickup I made out some tubing, clothes hanger wire and a 2 quart milk jug.
Just punch a barely bigger hole than the tubing in the lid (friction fit) and enough in the jug to reach to a half inch or so of the bottom, plus another smaller hole for venting, then stick it where ever it will fit.

my setup with a 283 in the 57. Washer bottle on driver's side, overflow on Pass side (near optima battery) In second picture the hoses are not in the final position. This location is where the bottle is mounted.
