well got it all wired up sitting on top of the radiator and,,,,,,,,,,,, it works !!!
you need to give it some gas to get to the required 80v to weld and 110 to run my mill. holeshooter . laid a awsome weld with great penatration right off the bat , going to mount the unit in the dash and the power cables either in my custom fenders, find a m38a1 round electical port in a tub , or mount the snorkle hood cut out to the fender and mount them there ,anybody ?sounds really different than a normal buzz box.not that I want to but ,,,I can't wait to try it out on the trail . cool now I have OBA AND a OBW.:) I paid $125 and replaced the alt brushes and bearings for $30 just to be safe .[IMG]

are you ready for this ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,he had no welding cables !!!!,all I did was add a missing nut to a connection and sandpaper all the connectionsin unit and alt, they were very green and oxcidized (sp) he lived at the beach.

awhile ago there was the kurt leduc off road swap meet , I picked up the exactly right cables ,with correct ends , 6 months earlier for ................................$5. Preimier want 200/150 sale. SCORE!!!!!
now that I know it works I'll spend the $65 for the new improved regulator and save this reg as the trail spare,

can this be moved to builds I will post pics/info of the install.

going to mount the unit from behind the dash for a clean look , this way is alot of work to figure out,to make sure the holes are right. if I botched it I could always cut the dash I quess. going to remove the hot lead from the box and mount it remote, like the neg[IMG]

ok guys, got the cable to move the hot lead some where???? ,cost me some money ($20)to get 6 feet but I don't know where to move it too and I did not want to be short or under wire the unit ,,,,,,,,,,, so I flipped for #2 wire when the stock wire can be seen as the hard copper wire in the pic , probably a waste of money but I don't see how it could hurt. only going to move it MAYBE 4' at the most ...........

well it all powerd back up after messing around in side the unit ....works really well just need to land the plugs but can't make up my mind where. thats roughly
80 volt to weld with or I can shut off the welder and power up to 110 to run anything that has a constant trigger ,grinder, drill, or george forman grill ,,,,,,,,,,, it even powerd my old skill saw with no delay ........

That's sweet! Very good ideas. You're making me think about new ways of mounting my Premier Power Welder.....

I don't have one on the '6. It's been converted to a long nose and stretched to 106" wheel base. I've got a few ideas though....
