ok, i just looked at herm's ford steering conversion. looks like a manual saggy box would work here "IF" a reverse rotation box was available, did they ever make one? next, does the 134 f head have enough power to pull an o/d with stock tires & 4.27 gears? i would like my '60 to cruise around 50-55 mph on two lane roads. thanks guys.

My '64 has an f head with close to stock tires, 4.27 gears with an OD. I can cruise 50-55 when the road is level or downhill. If I hit an incline I normally need to pop it out of overdrive. The jeep is normally used in the mountains so there isn't much straight and level. Where the OD shines for me is the gear splitting. On many of the mountain roads here 3rd is too low and 2nd is too high, in that case 2nd gear with OD is perfect.
