Going up a steep hill yesterday when the left front tire jumped a large tree root.

I was planning to upgrade but life gets in the way. I was on borrowed time with a D-25 34 9.5 locked.

Luck would have it we got the full day of wheeling and was on our way out to the trail head (1 1/2 miles). I used some racket straps to hold the steering straight and braked hard to make the sharp turns while being towed.

Yep, saggy needed. Nice clean break!!! That said, if it were mine, I'd just replace the pin and drive it the rest of the summer. Saggy and axle would be next winter's project. Summers here are way to short as it is.

For a temporary fix for under $30 that thought crossed my mind as well.

Still needs to be done, the day after wrestling with a locked ross steering on 34's I feel like I've been beaten with a rubber hose.

An extra pin kit doesn't take too much tool box space and wouldn't be too difficult to change out on the trail.
