crop duster

    well i was driving the jeep last weekend and the oil pressure gauge hose blew off the hose barb at the block. Good the thing the top wasnt on. I pulled over and shut the motor off right away. I checked the dipstick and it read oil in the pan just above the low mark. I must have lost about 3 quarts of oil in 50 feet of road. Hopefully i can just refill it and not have any ruined bearings or cam and tappets.

    Providing you had enough oil to maintain oil pressure till you turned it off, it's not very likely any damage has been done. Cross fingers.

    all went fine on friday. i added oil and it runs fine thankfully
