leaf spring question

    does anyone know if the original leaf springs from a 73 cj5 will fit a 77 cj5? Thanks for any help.

    I believe they will be too narrow. 1.75 vs 2.0, and 2.5 inch.

    Correct - they will not fit. Almost everything changes for the '76 model year.

    Not only is the width wrong, but the 77 would have longer springs also.

    The rears are the same length I believe, but the fronts are longer from 76 on if memory serves. I could go out and measure them I guess. I have read a little about bolting them on in stock type configurations, but that seems kinda okie to me. (no offense okies)
