    Continued working on the panels.
I've never done body work before, but they're getting easier and of higher quality with each patch I do.

    Here is the latest.

I'll be going over with epoxy primer once sanded smooth.

And far side. The entire panel really straightened out with the new metal.

Progress is progress, and I like sharing pictures. Here is some more body work.
Welds smoothed out, crossbeam welded in place, some epoxy, and a complete crack fixed.
For anyone following, instead of epoxying in patches, I'd recommend doing an entire side (within a week or so before surface rust) before epoxying.

    More progress.
Finished one side, and began stripping the other.

    Body Work Progress

Only posting pics at this point. It gets redundant. Cut, fill, weld, grind, repeat.

Was able to get the grill sand blasted & epoxied. Also able to put in some of the parts ordered from Classicent. Now it's time to order the wheel wells & rear floor board. This thing is really coming together quickly.

    More progress pics.
All of the final pieces of metal have arrived.
I've sanded, primed, and welded most into place.
Pics show finished tailgate, and wheel well installation.
Insides painted with POR-15, the top epoxied.

The body is back on the frame!!! I sealed all of the seams on the under side with a silicone sealant, and then prepped for a coat of monstaliner. I've decided to do the entire body in monstaliner, as I really enjoyed the way the paint rolled on. It's easy, looks decent, hides my less than flawless work, and I can do it in the garage without spraying. I sent off the miscellaneous pieces to be sand blasted, as the flap disc & angle grinder has really been time consuming. Best $$ I've spent yet on this project. I'd highly recommend it. This weekend I also got the toolbox installed, and the inside of the tub painted. I'll post pics shortly.

Looking good. I agree with the comment about another one saved from the scrap yard. How has the fit been for all the replacement metal on the tub?

I am impressed with your work. I also went the bedliner route on my whole jeep. It has proven to be a good choice, and while your bodywork may be better quality than mine, I agree that it helps hide some of the evil for something that is intended to be fun and not a showpiece. I applaud your work and your choice. It looks great!

The replacement metal from classicent has been absolutely great. The pieces were a perfect fit, and really helped bring this thing back to life.

Back to work on a few more items.
I got the cheese board dash cleaned up, wired the engine, put in the fuel tank, ran the fuel lines, installed the dual MC from herm's kit, and ran the brake lines, installed the pedal linkages, mounted the steering gear box & column, & started working on brakes.

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
I kept the original housing for the parking lights, but replaced the bulb with an LED. [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
I know you can't see much in the picture, but took it to remind myself that with Herm's dual master cylinder conversion kit, I had to shorten the Master Cylinder push rod by about 1.5''. For anyone who does this upgrade, you'll need to thread the push rod higher using a 7/16'' die. Also... do yourself a favor & mount the MC BEFORE mounting the body...[IMG]
