I have a new front hub for my 75 CJ. The holes in the hub for the wheel studs are .580.
The replacement studs have a diameter of .634. Both hub and wheel studs are from Omix. I know.
I cant get the studs installed on the hub. I tried pulling them up with an impact and no go. I thought about taking them to a shop to press fit but that seems like to much difference. I have some L hand studs I got from Walcks and their diameter is .590. Are the Omix studs to large for a press fit ?

Try Dorman 610106 studs, they should be the correct diameter and available at your FLAPS. These are the ones I used for my disc brake swap so they may be a but long, but if the diameter is right they should be able to hook you up with the correct length.

Thanks, I looked on Dormans web site, their web site said the proper part # is 98169.1, the knurl diameter is .625. That is fairly close to the Omix part at a diameter of .634.I am wondering if a shop press will press a .625 diameter stud in a .580 hole or if the Omix holes are undersize.

The knurl diameter of the Dorman 610106 stud is .620

20 minutes and a 5/8 drill bit and it's done.
