It's been awhile since I worked on the cj-6. Now with two boat projects behind me I'm back at it. I have noticed my frame is twisted, just a slight bit. If you level it at the front and rear spring hangers one side is out by about 1/4 inch or so. Should I be worried about this? I'm just trying to make sure everything stays straight while I finish up my boxing and suspension fabrication. If you draw an x accross the frame horns front to back it looks just like a slight twist. Everything else I measure seems to be right on, and I've pulled tons of measurements. Thanks Everyone.

Eehhh, not sure I'd worry too much about 1/4". I'd be more concerned if it were out of square. I think you would see more adverse effects from that than you might from a twist. I'm no expert, that's just my take on it. Besides, after you're done welding, maybe a frame or body shop could pull that twist out of it.....maybe.

I think your right. I can pull the twist out just by adding weight on the opposite corners. I'm going to leave the weight on their for awhile. The frame is square and straight otherwise. I might take it outside and work it over with the tractor.
