    Hey Guy's
I finally got my dauntless going today but when it starts the vacuum pulls the brakes on .... it's a 68 cj-5 with a newer firewall mounted booster. Does anyone know the routing of the vacuum inside the booster ,or is it just fried .

    Thanks:cry:

Have you made sure that the modified brake pedal and/or push rod is not inadvertently actuating the booster?

basicly you have vacum on one side and atmospheric pressure on the other. there are a series of seals and diaphrams that help boost the brake pedal pressure. If something inside is bad, thats it.
you get a new booster with the seal;)

Yep sounds like it's bad ,as soon as the engine starts the brake lights come on and it's darn near impossible to move .
    Thanks

Try disconnecting the push rod from the pedal, make sure the push rod comes all the way out of (away from) the booster can.

Then start the engine and see if the problem is still there.

If same issue still exists, replace the booster can.
