    I am in a situation.
my CJ2A needs complete resto and I recently found out my engine is seized from one cylinder being pitted from rust:(.

I have a chance at a M38A1 rolling frame all redone brakes, axles, suspension but not sure if its coming with tcase and trans (I hope it will)

the question I have, without a solid answer yet is.
can I put my CJ2A body on the m38a1 frame? with a buick 231 (dauntless bigger brother)

or the other idea, can the m38a1 axles, springs, shocks, breaks, tcase, trans go onto my cj2a? (the frame is buggered on it tho)

*currently looking at a build on this site, but its using so many different parts that its not helping me much.

im doin the same thing now the 2a is a little bit shorter than the m38 or cj5 the rear crossmember hangs out a bit and the front is about 4 inches longer and youll need a couple of the body mounts off the 2a's frame but it can be done with a little fab work

    hi Dauntless,
do you mean M38A1? if it is the M38 that you are saying it would make your conversion easier then.

will search for your thread, hopefully you have one :D

if anyone else has done this please chime in :D
