I checked out the play in my steering and the bell-crank wobbles a bit when the wheels are turned. Id like to replace the bolt but im away from home and cant measure the diameter. Are the bolt sizes the same on all '53 3B's? Also is it possible for the inside of the bell-crank to be worn and need replacement? I dont remember how large the flat spot is on the drag-link end but maybe i should just replace both parts.

You need to get the whole kit, which includes the pin and needle bearings. My experience: if you want to keep the play out of it, you end up replacing these about every 10 to 15k miles-not a good design. A little wobble on the bellcrank translates into a whole bunch of slop at the steering wheel-probably the biggest reason to go saggy. Someone on here probably has the part # you need.

Im just wondering if the bolt sizes are the same from 3b's. It should be a 7/8" I think.

I purchased my kit from Walcks 4wheel drive. Heres the link:http://www.walcks4wd.com/Product/Bell-crank-kit-78-2A-3A-3B-CJ5/2987

My steering was very loose before the kit. After installing, there was hardly any free play in the steering wheel.

For 24.95, i thought it was a pretty good deal. I also purchased the kit for the drag link at the same time. It also cured some slop.
