What should the oil pressure be on a 232 I6 at idling and lets say 2000R.P.M. more or less?

I want to buy a gauge, but I don't know what range to buy.

    Thanks Okkie.

Just about any gauge will be fine for an unmodified engine. My 258-powered truck has very good oil pressure, and runs about 40 psi on the highway and 25 psi at idle. Most gauges will be 0-80 or 0-100 psi - either would be fine.

Brand-new 232/258 engines don't have more than about 50 psi pressure as I recall, so 0-80 would be good. 0-100 would work well too ... that's what I have on my 304 CJ-6.
