Front Axle Identification Help Please

This axle was given to me and I have no clue what model it is or if it will fit under the front end of my Jeep.

Please helpppppppp I am in need of axle education.R)

the metal tag attached with 2 bolts on the passenger side off the differential cover will have some numbers/clues we can decipher.
On the surface, a D25 or D27, closed knuckle, with me leaning towards D27 because of the axle snubber on the pass side of the housing.
There is also info here in the archives, under axle ID I believe, if you search.

 

I agree with the snubber theory - looks just like mine. It appears to have the small drive shaft that typically came with the V6, which also indicates a Dana 27.

 

Looks like there's a 27 on the lower web of the housing, just to the right of the front cover. Saw it when I zoomed in on the pic.

 

The vent being in the carrier is also a giveaway for the 27. 25's typically had the vent in the cover. Also cast in will be a 27 or 25 either in the lower right hand casting web when looking at the cover or on top of the carrier (center housing section).
