Well today i put all the brake line on minus the rear due to the double flaring tool i bought at autozone is a pos. Went to mount the pass seat and noticed the paint chipped, ****ed me off so i went with the wire wheel after the jeep and took off no **** like 5lb of it on one side, in some places up to 1/2inch thick, revealed alot of huge rust spots, then i got depressed and thought about it and said WTF am i doin trying to make the paint look wortha **** when its a piece anyways so i just painted the spots that i wire wheeled

Sounds like she is clicking right along. Most re-man parts for these jeeps will NOT work from auto stores as I have also found out. Went through 4, yes 4 altinators before we finally said screw it and fabbed up a chevy alt for it. Works good now.

What fans are you using. I tried 2 12" fans and it wont stay cool. Just switched back to a mechanical fan with no clutch today.

it stayed cool w/no fan shroud so i am sure it will cool with these two fans, the only time it got hot was when i was doggin it for like 5min, i will be @ idle most the time in the mountains this july. They are single fans off of a kia rio but i just grabbed two

i got a reply on that trans, he says it is a t15 d20??? and imma go look at it tommaro. I hope it is what i need/will adapt to what i have got.
We got the roll cage welded in today, it is sorta ghetto looking but serves a purpose, we did the traditional loop up top, and the two posts and the dash cross bar, and the side ways bar on the back. I mounted the fuel tank and the spare tank. I also mounted a fire extinquisher to the roll bar. We mounted the tow bar with lock nutz and like 5/8inch grade 5 bolts. I bought brand new 3/8 line and a fuel filter, ran it bout half way then called it quits for today cuz the mesquitos were eating me alive and the off ran out.
Idk its not guna be a chick magnet but i hope like hell we have fun in it and come back safe and in one piece, thats all that i care bout.

yes you will notice that i had to mount the right pillar a little bit closer to the inside of the jeep cuz we didnt notice that the factory roll bar wasnt true to the jeep itself so yea looks a lil tweke but oh well, for fabing it ourselves i think we did ok.

the tank is a 18 gallon boat tank, spare is an old style 5 gallon

nice looking welds!.....might think about grab handles from the front riser to the top "hoop" at a 45* angle......great for getting in and out and helps to reinforce that area

the new trans i bought is at the mechanic shop getting new sencronizers and bearings... the brakes are going to have to be pressure blead since its a dry system, the motor runs great but has a loud clacking at all rpm which is a rocker arm i hope lol i have heard rod knocks and this is not one:D

She is coming along nicely. And sorry to sound ignorant, but what do you mean by having to preasure bleed your brakes? You cant bleed manuel brakes the same way you bleed power brakes?

the only diff between the oldest brake system and the newest ones is the abs **** but when i say pressure bleed, i mean that since i have a totally dry system its a bitch to just pump up the pedal and open the bleader screw, idk why cuz i have blead dry systems before but for some strange reason this one just wont blead anything, i have tryed everything from 3 diff master cyls to even putting the bench bleaders back into the master cyl while its installed in the vehicle to make sure i have propper fluid flow, everything seams fine so that is the only choice i hve left is to take is somewhere and have them pressure blead the brakes.

I have never seen anyone pressure bleed brakes but from what i have been told they open all ur bleeder screws and suck the air outta the lines and keep the fluid topped off. My dad ordered some new tool from jegs or summit i forgot which that does this in the reverse fashion, it actually forces the air back up through the lines from the wheel cyl by simply pushing brake fluid in form the bleeder screw. Ok sorry for the long *** response i hope it makes sense lol
