Okay, you guys had good advice on the welt problem now I have another issue. The Park/turn signals just aren't up to my standards to reuse......I've searched and can't find any for a 74. There are however plenty listed for 76 and up. Are they the same?

Well, I guess when I'm done with this thing I'll have a brand new 1974 CJ5!!! Probably at 10 times what it cost new!!!! Every nut and bolt I put on is stainless!! :)

Who on here is a good suspension expert? I re engineered a shackle reversal and may have the pinion angle wrong. The front tires now are out more on the top than the bottom. I haven't driven it yet to see what kind of problems I'll be having.

If you don't mind, look in the builds and fabricators section for "another lime green jeep" thread and let me know what you think about the rear tailight setup.

Are you describing camber or caster? Sounds like camber... there's no easy way to adjust the camber. It's built-in to the knuckle when its welded to the axle tube, and should be ok as long as the front axle is not bent, and the ball joints are in good shape.

A shackle reversal could change the caster though. You'll need to measure it after you get everything together, and then add wedge-shaped shims between the springs and perches to give you a few degrees positive caster. If you search for caster (and the misspelling "castor") you'll find lots of discussion.
