Pertronix questions

Looks like I have the wrong one? Or am I just losing it, cause for the life of me I can not figure out where the grommet goes.

 

i thought this was talked about recently but I can not seem to find it..maybe I'm blind though

 

Doesn't it go through the hole in the distributor body where you currently have your ignition points wiring going through?

 

jesus I need a drink Yup that would prob do it

 

What about the grommet though? Its kinda like a square peg in a round hole

Yeah, mine was the same way. The square grommet went in with a little extra ooomph and a pair of needle nose pliers, but it works. My trouble was that the round metal piece wouldn't fit my IAD distributor. Had to order a couple of times before I got the right one.

 

ahhh, so it does fit in the round hole, but it just needs some aggitation...thanks

 

it kinda fits.
i was a tuggin and a yankin
and pulled it all the way through.
then i hadda stuff it back through and try it all over again.....

 

Mondays will getcha sometimes.....
