I am wanting to upgrade my heater in my 1975 CJ5. Can anyone recommend one that is the least pain in the rear?

The easiest for me was to clean out the mouse nest, install a new heater core, and plug/patch all holes and cracks in the duct work. The intermediate heater box has two ports out the top for defroster. The Commando used both. The CJ only uses one. Blank off the unused hole or you'll heat the hell out of your wires while your feet freeze and your windshield frosts over. Also, when you install a new core wrap the outer edge of the core with adhesive backed foam like they sell for truck caps (but thinner). You want all air pushed through the core, not around it.
