Hey Jeep friends! I took my headers and exhaust to a metal shop to repair some cracks in the old metal. They told me that the metal is thin and weak. So my question is, where can I purchase a descent pair of headers and exhaust system for my 71 CJ5?

Summit Racing, Advance Adapters, Novak Enterprises are a few suppliers for the headers. Will most likely need to build a system from there or have an exhaust shop build one for you.

4wd hardware has them too... and they used to havet eh sidepipes as well.. look good but I had them and they kinda killed my torque at the bottom end so I went back to mufflers.. much better..

On my '71 I ran Hedman headers, Header Buddys at the collector flange (eliminates the collector flange gasket), cheap Thrush Turbo mufflers from Pep Boys, and a couple 90° turnouts (also from Pep Boys)to exit just in front of the rear tire. Good, inexpensive set up.

I have a '64. I love side pipes on a Jeep so I opted for a set of Hooker side pipes. I had to rework the collectors with a 3" flange. I think they are great looking.
