My question is, I'm doing a transmission swap going back stock from a T85 to a T86. The T86 is 1.5 inches shorter than the T85. This put my Transfer 1.5 inches farther forward. I've got a used driveshaft that is 2 inches longer tan the existing on in the rear, but the existing one is made of 1.5 or 1.25 inch tubing. The one I'm thinking of using is made of what looks like solid round steel shaft. Would there be any issues using this for a rear driveshaft. The front driveshaft is constructed the same as the one I'm thinking of using. Thanks for any suggestions.

It sounds like you have something custom or upgraded. As long as they are balanced and the yokes fit, you will be good.

Might be a good idea to run them to a driveshaft place just to get them re balanced... Cheap insurance..
