Anyone have a part number for the camshaft seal plug or know what size it is.
The freeze plugs from my local parts house did not fit. It's a 225

best i can do was from rock auto website.

    they list two different ones

    Dorman #555058 is for 1&13/16"

    Dorman #02556 is for 44.61MM

that may be right, wrong or somewhere in between. did you save your old one? if you did should be a no brainer for the parts guy. dont give up though, try a different parts house. sometimes, well not sometimes. it is the guy behind the counter that makes the difference. alot of these so called parts guys dont even know how to crack a book. and if the computer says so then thats the part and tuff $#*t

throw a caliper on it rejeep, one of those i posted should fit, then maybe we will have it narrowed down. if i am thinking corectly and its been a long time, he needs a welch plug. different animal than a freeze plug, but serves the same purpose

Yea. I bought the jeep for 200.00 from a bank cause it was a repo. The floor pans were out so i think that it was a fresh rebuild (i know it was cause the rocker arms and rods have lubaplate on them) and they knocked it out putting the cam in. Easy fix if i and get the right size plug.
