Option to wheelhouse notch.

    I was anticipating a wheelhouse notch since the CJ5 was prettymuch apart anyway, but I got to looking. Notice how long the steering colum is. Would it be possible to slide it further thru the firewall into the engine compartment. You would then need to shorten the steering shaft but wouldn't that give more room between the seat and steering wheel and lower the steering wheel at the same time ?

    Yea but it doesn't give any more leg room which I think is why most folks do the wheel house notch......for the leg room.

    Also your steering wheel has a pretty good dish to it. A flatter steering wheel helps unless it's the leg room you're after.....
