I think with 13.5 wide your going to run into clearance issues. Heck the 35x12.50's I had I was rubbing the springs, and that's with the D30 up front which is 1" wider on each side. That's why I went with the 10.50's. It's the tallest skinny tire I could find. Pretty inexpensive too as far as tires go. I'm sure they will be noisy though.

    Dan,

Your running the same ones? Super Swamper LTB 34x10.50-15. How's the noise level at highway speeds?

I'm no expert here but someone told me to forget about airing down much w/ a 8" rim and 10.5" tire. Is this true?

I wouldn't worry about that much, esp. with a Swamper. Those things don't flex the side wall much when aired down. Why be concerned about 8" wheel and 10.5" tire? I aired mine down to 10-15 PSI reguarly when I used to go wheeling more with no ill effects. Just mananged to get gravel in the bead and cause slow leaks.

Lots of variables...what 10.5" tire? What kind of wheeling? Up in the dunes if the tire has a flexy sidewall I'll still air down to at least 8 -- but take it easy when turning, etc. But might be different when rock crawling with more stress on the sidewall / bead, etc.

John: At least you didn't get the 15x12 ones with the MSRP $216,227 !

I bought a new chrome modular type for my spare and it cost $40.00. :)

Yup I run the 34x10.50. They are a typical swamper on the road. it does make sound, not as loud as the boggers i had on the commando, but they had some tone to them. They do get flat spotted when sitting for a while. it really isnt that bad of a thing, it goes away in about a mile or two. As for airing them down, this tire is fairly stiff. i had the pressure down to 12 at tellico, then had to get down to 8 pounds for it to bulge. I run an 8 inch wide rim, no beadlocks. As for wear i cant say much i have had mine for about 3 years now and i really do not have wear on them because i pretty much drive it one the trail, but hopefully this winter i will drive it more. Heck i need to wear them down so i can get new tires. I probably will end up selling them so i can get 36's when i go to waggie axles. But i like them alot and defiantely work great off road. They do dig really quick so watch yourself if you are in mud or sand and loose momentum, because you will sink REALLY quick because they bite so good.

Thanks for the feedback Dano. Sounds like I should be happy.

Shouldn't have to much wear, since the jeep will only be going on and off the trailer..... right jpflt2a? R) R) R) R)
