Looking in both the Eastwood and Summit catalogue, they list an epoxy primer and a urethane primer. Eastwood lists a sprayable filler.

I thought you applied an etching primer to bare metal, a high solids primer to fill sanding scratches and a sealer before the top coat.

is the urethane primer same as an etching primer ?

no, urethane primer would be closer to a sealer primer. I would suggest not skimping on these steps. I used the Cross Fire line, I am sure PPG Dupont Etc, all have there own "value" line but get all the same stuff. When the paint starts to cure (releases all the chemicals) you need to make sure that they match. For example I had a customer a long time ago use PPG sealer, and top coat, then wanted to use a different manufacturers clear coat because of course it was less money. Well, he did not let it cure long enough and the paint and clear had a allergic reaction. "He had a bad day." Stick to one line and fallow the tech sheets and advice of salesmen, he has prob already seen other people make the mistake you are asking about. Not that you are, but I am just saying from experience.
