I'm starting the frame to under tub cage work. I have some DOM tubing. I started wondering where you should use DOM vs. where you can use HREW.

Cage will be DOM. What about rock sliders or tube frenders? Or stingers? Or whatever?

Seems all we need to use DOM for is the cage.

    Thoughts?

HREW can be used where ever your life does not depend on it. It is especially bad if bent. I have seen folks use it as the stretchers in the cage, but not for me. Now it is perfectly fine for bumpers, stingers, sliders, just watch the seam if you bend it.

HREW dents easily...so sliders may look nasty after awhile, I agree...anywhere that doesn;t need to save your head will be fine.
FYI, stingers are kinda gay...so I'd say they shouldn;t be used there R)
