We started in on our first day of real tear down (at least to us). Most everything well well, except we could not remove the screw at the under side of the front fender holding on the front grill panel. The grill would wiggle side to side, but the bolt under the fender up into the grill panel would not budge. Anyway, some suggestions would really be helpful. Thanks

My Original grill was like that. I had to cut the head of the bolt off and then drill it out and re-tap it.

PB Blaster or a similar penetrating oil can help a lot.

Does the bolt goes into a weld-nut inside the grille shell? If so, and the nut is turning, you're probably best off to grind the head off of the bolt and fix it on the bench. The best tool for this, in my experience, is a carbide bit in a die grinder.

Otherwise, penetrating oil and a six-point socket may help. If the bolt won't turn, you should be able to snap it off with a six-point socket and, again, deal with it on the bench.

If you do go with the breaking bolt scenario i would recommend a reverse drill bit. 9 times out of 10 if you use this you can catch the bolt and it comes out. Some sort of oil would really help unstick the bolt. But if it doesn't then you can use a square extractor on the bolt and it also works well.

Try adding some heat to the bolt. It works wonders with the torques bit seat mount screws and sometimes all you need is a little expansion to unbind. Also, you may think I am crazy, but try to tighten the bolt first. Sometimes you must tighten in order to remove. Good Luck!
