best gear setup for 62 CJ5

    Thanks, I'll find it. I had to carve about 1/4" of gunk off it with my knife to find the tag I found. 99% sure it's a 25 though as all the rest of the parts on the Jeep truck point to an early model. That means the diff is of no use to me and it's too wide too...


    I need a dana 30!

    I have a D30 I am going to use in my 66 but you are welcome to my old D27 when I take it out.

    4.88? Might take you up on that so I can run something until I decide if I'm gonna go big or not.

    Shipping would kinda kill the deal though.

    The 465 isn't mine so I can't trade it.

    Oh yeah I forgot about that :oops::smash:

    Maybe the same driver that drops the trans can pick up the diff? Not sure how that would work.
