How is your exhaust set up on your 225 v-6, and what are your thoughts on your setup? I have headers on mine that route outside the framerails and I have mufflers under the door openings, but the exhaust isn't tucked up very tight against the floorboards. When I go wheelin' I smack my mufflers on breakover angles and such, and would like it to be tucked out of the way more. Do I need to go to the factory exhaust manifolds again and a y-pipe to a single exhaust and a single muffler inside the frame rails that I can put a skidplate over to protect, or factory exhaust manifolds to dual pipes inside the framerails, or are there headers that go inside the framerails? Am I going to lose power if I lose the headers? If I lose the dual exhaust? Post up what you are running, how you like it, and compare it to what you had before (if you changed it since you had your Jeep) and how you like what you have now vs. what you had before. Give me some ideas to toss around on how to re-route my stuff to get it out of the lava rock! Thanks.

stock manifolds y'ed into a single 2.5" pipe with a 40 series flowmaster, sounds awesome and everything is tucked up out of the way.

Any chance you can post a pix of the drivers side downpipe where you have the Y setup?
That looks like a good way to go.

not sure I have one, I'll see what I can find. the drivers side is the standard front dump that does a U-turn and joins the passenger side pipe just before the transfer case. The 2.5" exhaust continues above the crossmember into the muffler then exits on the driver side corner.
