I was about ready to instal a 670 Holley Truck Avenger carb on my 75 CJ-5 with a 360. I noticed on the Holley website they say the carb is not recomended for street truck or towing. My 360 is stock except for an Edelbrock performer manifold and msd ignition. I was wondering how any of you who are running the truck avenger like it? Does it perform well on the street. I use mine for fare weather riding on the street and an occasional weekend on the trails.

They're probably obligated to say that for emissions purposes or something. I can't imagine why a carb would be specific for the street/trail and not the other.

I have much better overall performance with the street avenger including better gas mileage, but if you are climbing the 'steep stuff' and stall it is much easier to restart with the truck avenger. Always a tradeoff....

Thanks for the input guys. I've decided to try it. Has to be an improvement over my old carter afb which is only a 400.
