What is difference between DJ-6 & CJ-6?

I have a right hand drive CJ-6 (1963)...or I think it is. What is the difference between the DJ-6 & the CJ-6? Were all the DJ-6s 4x2? Mine is a 4x4.

I want to be able to tell people that I do not have a postal jeep. Or I want to tell them that I do have one. Whichever is correct. I believe I have a CJ-6. That is what the title says, but who knows? (I don't. I hope you do.)

 

If your VIN starts with 84 it's a CJ-6, if your VIN starts with 86 it's a DJ-6. See here:

The DJ6 would be a 2 wheel drive JEEP Being a right hand drive it could be a postal.
On the dash do you have a brass plate the is about 4" square. If you do it was sold to the goverment, GSA, Forest service, BLM or others.

My CJ6 was a border patrol JEEP.

There is no brass plate on the dash. And, from the pdf that he links to, I have a CJ-6. My VIN is 57748 201##. Underneath the VIN tag is another tag that has MARCA REGISTRADA - MARQUE DEPOSEE ("REGISTERED TRADEMARK" in Spanish and French). So, I have the feeling that mine might have been exported at some point.
