early 225 transfer case mount

    Ok the searches of the site confirm that the early 66 came with a bracket bolted to the snubber on the transfer case. The snubber is too far to the center so the bracket extends a bolt outboard to bolt up to the transfer. My snubber is spongy so its banging.

    From previous posts it looks like an F or L-head motor mount will do the job better and eliminate the bracket setup. But you can't put a motor mount with the bolts front to back because the cross member isnt wide enough for the bolts. It looks like it can be bolted in going crossways if you bend the upper tab of the motor mount.

    Anyone have a picture of how they did it?

    i used a piece of flat bar (5/16") thick to act as a spacer.
