Why a body lift? How large a tire do you want? You can fit 34s or 35s with some fender cutting. A body lift will raise your COG and cause interference with the pedals, without any functional benefits.

Sorry to hijack your thread. I've been lookin' for a BL for my '70 also. The body mounts are pretty much toast so I figured I'd just put a 1" BL on it instead of replacing the stock mounts.
    Thanks!

Actually Tim - the body lift does not raise the COG as much as a spring lift since your drive train (the majority of weight) stays lower. I had a 2" body lift with minor changes to the pedals and steering that allowed the V6 to sit under the hood cleaner. This had no noticeable adverse effects wheeling on the COG at the time.

You don't really need a body lift that is specific to your year Jeep. You'll probably never find one anyway. I used a lift for a later model Jeep. I don't recall the exact year, but later than an Intermediate. The only real differences in year will be the number of pucks they give you. If you can find a lift for '77 on it should be fine. If you still have the pedals coming through the floor, be prepared to elongate the holes in the floor boards as your pedal arms will probably rub. You may have to lower your radiator. X2 on what Warloch said. Your COG is affected less with a body lift than with a suspension lift. As for fitting 35" tires, I have a 4" spring lift and have cut a lot off the rear fenders to clear 35's with a 2 1/2" body lift. You might clear some 35" pizza cutters, but probably not 12.50's or wider.
