GM TBI setups run at about 12 psi. Not sure about Holley or powerjection.

Bummer on the BO. I just received the new manifold I ordered from Summit that I plan to use for the Powerjection unit. It's an Offenhauser dual plane sq. bore. I don't even know that that means.................but it sure looks good. I hope this install goes well for you 'cuz I'm right behind you.

I am going to use the Kenne Bell Number One - single plane square bore at first, then next year put the Offy Dual Plane Square bore on to see which I like better.

I know the Offy makes good low end power and is easier to tune with, the Kenne Bell is supposed to have more throught the full curve, but is harder to tune... We'll see.

If I would have know it was gonna take this long for the kit, I would have ordered it last month. I was waiting to have cash in hand to pay for it before ordering :)

When I checked with Summit about a month ago they had one in stock. At least the webpage said it would ship on that day. Just checked Summits site and looks like they've pushed the ship date up to the 3rd. I just now ordered the 70026 kit and was given a tentative ship date of May 2nd.

Well - my order was 4/12 - card from 19th shows a 5/4 projected ship date (70026 Kit as well). It also says if it's not available on the 4th they will send me another card...

    I'll keep you posted.

It's possible that the article in JP caused a little run on inventory and the manufacturer is having a hard time keeping up. I went ahead and ordered mine even though I won't be ready for it until June. I will say that Summit is really good about staying in touch re: back orders.

I jsut checked with Summit and it looks like my order will arrive in Reno today. I should have it by the 28th. Of course I'm still nowhere near ready for it. But at least I made the commitment to my credit card co. ;)

OK - for you pic hounds:

    The Powerjection III as it was shipped (even smelled of gas so I know it was run as a test prior to shipping);

The Engine bay where it will end up:

    Parts from Summit for install:

I will have to wait on the vent with the roll over valve until Friday or Monday.

I am working on *******'s (my neighbors) CJ5 doing a full build due complete end of month. I finished the boxing for the Saginaw Swap tonight - got to finish it and build bumpers for him so will be doing the FI between those over the next couple weeks.

Short update – I took pics, but they will have to wait as the bats died and we don’t have any in the house.

Pre Filter – Retroteck updated their docs since I did a download of it and purchased my parts off of it. They are now saying to use just the screen in the tank… I don’t have one. After exchanging e-mails with Christian we agree you need something. His worked with an 85 micron unit from Earl’s (I had a 40 micron unit from Summit that I will be sending back). Got the new one ordered today (don’t worry – full parts list at the end of the project, or when I get it together).

Pulled the TA470 off – test fit the PJ (Powerjection) unit. The fuel rail has the pressure regulator built on it in the 70026 model I got. It hit on a port that my intake has on it. The fittings are on ‘REAL’ tight, but I got the elbow loosened so it could tilt and clear (needed about 1/8” to get it to fit). Swung the return line around – not sure which way I will make it run in the end.

AN -6 fittings/parts etc… I got the line and all fittings from Summit and used their brand as a friend said it was good stuff. I also got a Koul Tools 6,8,10 to help install the fittings on the hose. The Summit fittings would not fit in the tool. I called Summit and it was the first they had heard of it. I used the cutter from them on the line (which I was told by the buddy was the trick) and bingo – with just my hands and a socket (no wrench or ratchet) I got it on with no problem. Should be ready to start plumbing once the final pieces of the puzzle get here.

I have been spending the time (when not working on *******'s build) getting parts. I have to build a custom fuel rail due to the Kenne Bell having a vac port on the intake where the Pressure Reg sits.

I pulled all my old fuel line tonight - if I didn't have to build the full fuel system from the tank to FI and back... I would be done.

If I don't get the parts list up before you get ready - PM me. There are a couple things to know that would have made this simpler in the parts dept for the install if I had known them.
