    Thanks!

I have had it for about 10 years. Let's see. It's got the original 225 V6 with Holley 2D Projection fuel injection, HEI, T14 3 Speed, twin sticked Dana 18 xfer case, Warn OD, the suspension is stock Wrangler YJ leafs up front with a shackle reversal kit from a company out here that used to be called 4plus offroad. The brackets drop so you get about 3" of lift with a flat spring. The rear springs are Skyjacker Softride 2.5" YJ springs. Warn M8000 winch, Dual Optima Red Tops (2nd battery is located behind glovebox on passenger side of firewall), full roll cage, Factory rear Dana 44 with limited slip, Dodge 3/4 ton front Dana 44 narrowed to 56", OX locker in the front and 4.88 gears, 33" Thornbirds that have about 99% of the original tread and are 8 years old ;)

Bringing a new one home this Saturday (weather permiting). Purchased a '74 CJ6 yesterday. While it has surface rust the floors are good with no holes. The seller claims the mileage on the odometer is original (just over 25K) but I kinda doubt it's correct (even though it does not appear to have rolled over past 100K as the numbers are all evenly aligned). Say's it was stored in a barn/shed for a number of years.
My first priority is to get it running good then I will deal with the extra door some genius cut into the driver's side rear quarter panel & that butt ugly roll bar running from just behind the front seats to the rear bumper.

When the seller sent me the photos of the jeep I thought that both the roll bar & the grill guard were home made, but I think the guard was made by some aftermarket company because it is too well made. The welds look professional & it appears to be powder coated. Either way it will probably be gone along with the roll bar. Or possibly cut up & transformed into something with a bit more eye appeal.

It even came with a bunch of parts to covert to disc brakes. I already had a narrow D30 disc brake front end I was going to use on my '66 CJ5 before I decided to sell it. I sold the CJ5 to get enough money to pay some back state taxes & buy an engine for the wife's Cherokee. This CJ6 came along & it was such a good deal that it pushed the Cherokee to the back burner for now (taxman got his coin & there was enough left over for the CJ6 & some parts to put on it). The wife already got a newer car & is in no hurry to get her Cherokee back on the road.
Not sure whether to leave it a bit nasty with that rough backroads cruiser flat paint look (I prefer trail riding over rock crawling, rock crawling is something I do on a motorcycle, a Beta Techno trial bike) or pretty it up with a shiney paint job. Just have to wait until I get her home & running good before I make any firm plans for the rest of it.

Well i mite have the pic thing figured out! These are some pics of the 1975 cj5 levis renegade im restoring. There is a cool story behind this one it was a barn find i guess you could say i bought it from a guy who had just sitting in a barn on his property for what he thought was 14 or 15 years. He got it from a relative from sask. canada were they used it on there massive farm to pull trailers or whatever. apparently this jeep has hardly seen the road since new? i will try to post all my pics and keep you up to date with progress. it came with meyers hard top and doors in great condition! 304 3spd d44? the tires on it look like they could be original lol! but i dont know. let me know what ya think thanx

    Great find with this one!

What are your plans for it?

Lets see some pics of the hardtop!

Also FYI, you can post several pictures on the same post...just leave a space and post the next IMG tag!
