yes another plug question

    did the search- I pulled champion rj12yc from my 225/2g bl. /HEI, offy intake w/headers are these close to what I need ?the gap was .050

    gap should be .035 I think, been so long...
    J12Y is the factory plug; I suppose J12YC would be the current version
    you have the resistor version

    HEI might use the .050 gap

    anyone...........what plugs are you running in your HEI 225?and gap??????

    The better question might be "What color are the plugs you are using now?"

    If they are black and sooty you may need to bump up a heat range or two, and if they are white and crusty they might be too hot.

    .035 is the factory plug gap recommendation for a point-type ignition, and .060 for an HEI setup. HTH. :)
