HEI distributor swap for $25

I finally got fed up with the BID ignition on my '75 CJ5 beater and went to a local U-pull it, where I grabbed an HEI distributor from a '76 chevy pick up - I got the plug wires, 12V wire, vacume line and all (hey 'it's a $300 Jeep!). The hard part was removing the drive gear and grinding it to fit. After several weeks and about $95 worth of dist caps, rotors, plug wires, ign pick up sensors, it finally runs - fired right up as soon as I touched the key. My son and I went joy riding this afternoon and managed to tear off the muffler (it was attached tto the rest of the exhaust system with threaded black iron pipe!)
