its time for a new set of tires for the 5. im stuck between a 31x11.5-15 ltb or a 34x10.5 ltb. im still running 25 front and 44 rear w/ 5.38's on a soa setup.. ive got 33x12.5 a/t now but tey are goin on my tow vehicle. i like the look of the 12.5 but in a ltb the 33 is 13.5 wide and thats too wide for me. what are the pros and cons between the 31x11.5 and the 34x10.5? besides actual size what differences am i looking at? ive been beatin my head off the desk trying to come to a conclusion. any help guys would be wonderful. thanx

Personally - it comes down to what you like and how you wheel. I like the narrower tire for wheeling, and the look of a wider one :)

Function over looks for me so I run 31X10.5 or 33X10.5 on my rigs.

Narrow is relative, a 10.5 tire is almost twice as wide as what the Jeep had from factory. I agree with Warloch I like a 10.5 or even a 9" tire they work really great on these lite little Jeeps

    for reference, here's 33x13.50-15 ltb's on a 15x10 rim.

In retrospect, I kinda whish I had gone with a 8" wide rim to narrow it down a bit and make the tire taller. I dont really like the wide tires look.

    BUT

These tires ROCK off road. Mud, rocks, hillclimbs. The LTB's just work.
