hood latch, can it be snuck through grill or does radiator have to move? Latch color?

    My 74 came with no center latch for the hood, probably a large part of the reason the hood had to be repainted. :)

    I found an NOS one.

    two questions, were these usually black or body color?
    And can it be snuck through the grill to install or should I move the radiator first?

    Mine was black. You can put it in through the grill.
