Being an overhead cam engine it may be tall enough to cause you to modifiy the hood to fit the engine in. Also may be too long. You would have to measure height and length and compare that to your engine bay. I have seen Studebaker sixes stuffed into 2A's, however, so it might fit.

    New motormount locations.

The OHC 230 (Tornado) was a remarkable advancement in technology in its day, but I would never use one in any car other than in a restoration of the original vehicles. They are powerful for their displacement, but they also have longevity problems, and parts are either unavailable or wildly expensive. Owners hated them in the day, because they were so troublesome.

Avoid inline 6s for this app - it's not that they may be too long - rather they will be too long. Even the shortest inline 6 (Ford 144/170/200/250) requires firewall mods to fit in a short hood Jeep. The Studebaker 6s required the firewall to be pushed back (Studebakers were popular in the day because Studebaker used the T-90 in cars, and they bolt up without an adapter). V6s are popular for these Jeeps today for good reason.

I understand the OHC 230 (Tornado) was a HEMI ,,Read about it in 4wheel & off road MAG .. 6 cylinder hemi engine.... Hemi is a slang word for hemispherical combustion chamber....The Head breathed very good but you couldn't get any parts to make it run really good,,, Had one in a 63 Willys pick-up ,, It ran pretty good but not as good as the 327 Chevy (65 Chevelle Motor) I dropped in her did,,

Yep. An OHC Hemi. A nitrided 4 main bearing iron crank. A very long timing chain. A drop in replacement for the 226 Super Hurricane flathead, and shares some parts with that engine. The engine has a terrible reputation though; the engine probably isn't as bad as it's reputation. Back in the day, SBC and SBF swaps were very common ... prime swap material.

FYI a tornado, in running condition can fetch some coin in the Military vehicle circles for the M715's.
