I got a buddy that came across a Overdrive /underdrive unit that he thinks is a borg. He is close to just throwing it away. The only thing I know about it is that it has its own shifter and it has 2 speeds. Sound familiar? Is thing worth anything? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Do a search on Borg or Borg Warner. It's my understanding that these came on Pick-Ups/Wagons and can only be used in 2WD. They mount to the rear output shaft of the transfer case, are electrically activated and would require a shorter driveshaft. If it actually mounts on the back of a dana 18 on the PTO mount then its a Warn/Husky overdrive and you definitely want it.

lots of ole time Jeepers used them because they were cheap in those days
just couldn't use the OD in 4WD; how often do you anyway?
