Really this is a dip stick question. For a 225, can anyone tell me what the length of the dip stick is from the "stop to the tip" and where does the full line sit from the bottom tip?

    Thanks Edward

There are a couple diffo types of sticks for the 225, I'm guessing you have the kind with the tube? The length for that kind from stop to tip is 22 3/4", and the full line sits 2 and 9/16" up from the tip.

I think James P. Enderwies was planning a similiar mod, Joel. I know he had some good ideas, I just can't recall them at the moment. (Jim you out there??)

    Might have a new avatar--don't know yet--gotta do some thinking--way too early! R) R)

Hippo and I have talked about this quite a bit. Mine is the orig. stick that goes thru the tube. The problem is that to get mine back in, I have to put a pair of slipjoint pliers on it and shove it in. It works fine, just a PIA. Something is "kinked" in there.

I tried the dip-stick out of my Yukon, which is much thinner and flexy, in there and it slipped in just fine, but too long. So I've been thinking of getting a 90's 350 Yukon dif-stick from a bone yard, cutting it off with a cold chisel, and re-marking it. Should work fine.

    There are many other options.
