I'm knee-deep into replacing seals and gaskets that don't require removal of transmission or transfer case - so far, so good!
I've pulled both driveshafts; e-brake drum and hardware; yokes (using custom made yoke puller) and seals on transfer case and both differentials (thank goodness for seal puller) and u-joints.
    Here's where the problem began:

As you can see there is a crack on the outer edge of the retainer groove and the flange (?) where the bearing cup goes is pretty well beat up. dead horse
Should I leave well enough alone (replace u-joints and snap rings) and hope everything stays together or replace the driveshaft? I think I know the answer , but I thought I'd see what you think.

Either fix it now or put it on the short list of things to do soon.

Definately fix it before any trail ride.

You don't have to replace the entire drive shaft - just take it to a shop and they can put a new end on. No big deal - less than a hundred bucks.
