anyone have them from empty to full? Checked my fsm and other manuals here at home and no listing of them. PO installed an incorrect sending unit, at least it doesn't fit properly on the tank that's there. it's been "Modified" to fit (just the mounting screw holes). It's overall in decent shape and can be made to work if the resistance values are correct for the stock fuel gauge.

Working with an early production '70 CJ-5 with factory 225, T-14, 18, 44,27, etc. Under seat tank. Followed my daughter home recently. Pics to follow later in another thread.

    Thanks. Nickmil

Edit: By the way I did do a search but could not find the specific values I need. Found lots of other good stuff though!

Thanks guys. I'm "challenged" when it comes to search terminology to find what I'm looking for. My FSM is a reprint of a '70 (the one at home) and doesn't list it. The one I've got goes between 80 and 30 so no go. Installed the tank and found it's damaged where the filler neck attaches so doesn't sit even close for it to stick out of the recess even close to centered. Found my daughter needs a new tank anyway. Think I have a spare stashed away. Thanks again.

Tim, I understand that all the CJ's had very similar resistance values. Similar enough so that all the senders, properly working, would work.

Can you, or anyone, confirm that all the CJ series had very similar resistacne values for the senders? Close enough that say a late CJ sender would work with a early CJ gauge?

I also understand the later CJ 12V senders would work on the earlier 6V gauges, properly wired.

FWIW, I believe Nickmil got his orgional questions answered so I hope this is not a thread hijack. If so, I'll repost under ti's own thread. But I believe ti's relevent to this one so I tacked it on.............
