73 cj5 dash problems

I bought a painless full wiring harness for my 73 cj5 and can not figure out how everything connects to the dash instruments. Is there anything that helps this. They don't even look the same. I saved all my old wiring nests that were under there and I am lost trying to hook the gauges and things back up.

 

Take one wire at a time and read them and place where it goes. I use one on my 69 just go slow one wire at a time. If you dont have the part listed on the wire just put it aside and go on before long you will have it the painless's wire book is not to much help but every thing is on the wires. Lay out the wires as to where they go will help you understand. Try not to think of the every thing a once just go with the flow.
