:?As I said before I am new to the jeep world. I bought a 1969 Jeep CJ-5, or thats what the title says. Upon futher investigation of the jeep ,or what is left of it, the VIN started out as 8322 and the badges say Tuxedo Park Mark IV. Acordding to what I can find the VIN and badges are correct for a Tuxedo, But according to what I have found in books and the net they did not make a Tuxedo in 1969. Is my vehicle a Tuxedo or some other model or package offerd by Jeep, and is there a way to track down the 5 digit serial number on the VIN to the exact month & year the vehicle was made. We are not only rebuilding it but are restoring it, and would like to know what I have to restore it correctly.

VIN thread might not be accurate for Tuxedo Park model (I know, I know, I need to finish updating it). Post or PM your VIN and we can get the year (and probably month) for you.

Check your frame number. Might have a frankenJEEP. I am just saying that maybe your frame is a '69, the '69 body was bad, and someone put a Tux body on it and never changed the title. I thought Tux were 65/66is or so model years.
